以前、英検1級の2次試験対策として、Hanaso英会話のレッスンを活用していることを書いた。
2次試験に出てきそうなトピックに関するニュースなどの記事を用意して、"Webニュースレッスン"でレッスンを受けていた。
かなり色々な記事を使ったが、その中から参考になりそうなものをまとめてみた。
これらの記事は、有効そうだと思ったので、2回以上(複数の先生のレッスンで)使用したもので、1回だけ使って、あまり活用できなさそうだと思った記載していない。
定番のトピックが中心で、記事自体がPros and consになっているものもある。
参考にしていただければよいかと。

記事は若干古いものもあるので、最近の動向などは新しい情報を探した方が良いかもしれない。
最近だと、国連で採択されたSDGsなどが結構活用できそうである。17個のゴールということで、貧困、飢餓、気候変動、教育、エネルギーなど色々な目標が掲げられている。

その他に、日本の統計や動向を知るのに参考になると思われるのが、政府のサイト。観光庁、文化庁、警察庁などで統計データや動向を利用させてもらった。トピックに、"日本では"とか、"政府は"という言葉が入ることがあるので、そういうトピックの対策のため。
ちなみに、下記のサイトは日本語から、英語に切り替えられるので、英語表記が参考になるかもしれない。
自分がそうであったが、スピーキングが得意ではない場合、事前準備でできるだけ多くのトピックに対して話す内容を準備しておくのがよい。そうしておけば、スピーキング力が多少自信が無くても、ある程度カバーできる。
実際、2次試験には何度か落ちたが、合格することができた。
最後に、英検1級2次試験で、なじみのないトピックしかない場合について。
その場でAgreeかDisagreeとその根拠を考えないといけない最悪の状況となる。
一度、そういうことも体験(試験が終わって落ちたとわかった)した。それで考えた対策が、利害関係者を考えて、それぞれの観点で答えるというもの。
